Zurich, June 15, 2023.
additiv, the international digital investment and financial solutions company, announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). From 1st July, Nils Frowein, 59, will join as CEO allowing additiv to drive the further growth and business development together with its founder Michael Stemmle.

additiv is a fast-growing, financial solutions company with around 300 employees worldwide. It has evolved from a Swiss software developer into a global platform provider for “Finance-as-a-Service” (FaaS) with a focus on wealth management and retirement solutions. Today, additiv has offices in the world’s major financial centres such as Zurich, Frankfurt, Dubai and Singapore.

additiv founder Michael Stemmle says:

I am delighted to have Nils as a new member of our team. With his support, we will leverage our leading technological positioning to further develop the business model, accelerate our international growth, and actively accompany our customers in the transformation of the financial industry. Nils Frowein has led Swiss Life International to become an agile, highly professional, and profitable stand-alone insurance group division.

Nils Frowein says:

I see the move to additiv as an opportunity and a challenge to make high-quality wealth and pensions solutions accessible to different customer groups in line with their needs, with a leading innovative tech company.

Embedded finance is considered a strong growth market with the potential to create USD 7 trillion in annual value within 10 years. additiv’s proprietary cloud platform enables market participants to source and produce their own and third-party financial services via APIs, or leverage existing end-to-end financial solutions.

Today, additiv’s cloud platform is one of the world’s most powerful solutions in wealth management, lending and insurance. The technology, together with the global ecosystem of regulated financial service providers, opens new opportunities for banks, insurance companies, asset managers, IFAs but also ‘consumer brands’ to offer their own and third-party financial solutions quickly and flexibly via existing or new customer channels.

Investor Martin Ebner has been an anchor investor of additiv for six years. The financier is known to pursue clear growth targets with his investments. Co-shareholder Michael Stemmle will continue to manage the company as Founder together with Nils Frowein.
